Hey all, I'm anxiously awaiting my A7RIII as well. Hoping for delivery tomorrow.
Quick question, I see some people mentioning getting a free SD card in their box, and another mentioning it was supposed to come with Capture One software.
Do any of these actually come with the camera? I was understanding it's just the camera, battery, strap, etc. Or are these bonuses provided by certain retailers?

lens rentals must have gotten a few, i had one on preorder rental, since 2 weeks ago, called tuesday around 2pm, and it was being packed to ship, fed ex must be running clean on flight schedules, as i got an email late yesterday morning it was at the fedex center, so i was able to pick it up on my way home from work, it was due today so i got a few bonus hours with the manual. and sony has both the owners manual and the help guide available as pdf downloads, so both are now on my iPad mini, which goes on every trip because all my owners manual and my gps app are on there. off today so going out this afternoon to hopefully find some seagulls working a beach so i can try the af and speed out

I dont think it comes with capture one, you go to that site and download the latest version. "Express" version, which has some missing features, is free for Sony users. There's a "Sony" only version, which can only process sony images, using Capture one's full feature set, I think that's like $80. Full version of capture one should be $300+. SD card was a BH bonus.

I have the worst of luck... When I ordered 24-70 GM, it got it from Adorama and it was late. 85 GM from B&H and was late... A7RII from Amazon was on time as well as 70-200 GM from Amazon...
Given their stellar track record, I said I'll order it from Amazon again... I got the sorry your shipment is 3 weeks late, here's 10 dollars to help you through your grievance. This is after I complained like a little b!tch 4 times within 1 day.
I'm upset because I sold my A7RII expecting the Riii on 11/30, and all I have now are bunch of FE lenses with 1 A6500.
I sometimes pick up my A6500 and just take random shots of my foot... it'll be a sad 3 weeks.

Sony and the big retailers really need to come up with some kind of solution to ensure the most active online enthusiasts get their cameras early... for the same reason YouTubers and bloggers get early access for reviews. Very active and influential online forum members like Fred, Guy, and a few others here need to be given priority access on launch day. I think Sony underestimates the influence these kinds of enthusiasts and pros have on the masses.
For every one of the active members here discussing the camera there are probably at least a thousand lurking and considering the purchase. It would be in Sony’s best interest to ensure their most active online enthusiasts have product early. In my view, it’s a real shame that some members like Guy are out of the discussion for a couple of weeks. That’s a huge miss for Sony and the rest of us, not to mention the negative impact this has had on certain retailers.

SD card is being provided by Sony. This is their newest SD card, 300 mb/s, 64 gb
Camera bag also, but the bag is same old black thing with alpha lettering sewn in.
HDMI cable too is a freebie
Inside box, you get camera, battery charger strap some plastic contraption which is related to tethering/IO ports and yes that USB to camera cable also. I also got screen protector free.
This relates to Sony India.

Wow, that's incredible! Thanks for clarifying. I don't think we'll be so lucky in the US. Just the SD card is worth $120 here. I'm still trying to find a deal on the 300mb/s cards I guess i'll be using my old 90mb/s card until I can find one

The A7RIII is on the UPS truck to be delivered sometime today. I dread getting it banged up but that is my work. lol They look good scraped up anyway. Who wants a new looking camera, draws too much attention.

Just go over the edges with 2000 grit sand paper for that evenly used look.

Where did u order from?
People did that with the Leica M9 because of the nice brass housing used with black paint over it. Mine wore off with time on the Leica and on the A7RII, with battering. Camera mechanics though are totally unhampered.
I ordered from Murphy's camera some time back so I was on a waiting list. Even with that, I didn't make it on their first shipment and fortunately they got in some more the next day but are out now and I guess not able to fill all the preorders.
I guess i'll be using my old 90mb/s card until I can find one
