Otherwise, If you need the camera now, I saw a guy from Florida store posted that he had about 30 A7R3 in stock as of this morning. With a telephone number. Also in Facebook A7R3 group. Not sure how many he has left
I wonder how he got 30 when the store I got one from has 3 stores, they appear to do a lot of business and only got a few of what they ordered. I was number 7 and the first shipment they got didn't cover it and then they got a second one that did but they said they didn't get many. Odd.

Update I’m out of this for looks like second wave. Not much I could do after Amazon ran out of stock and screwed my order up. Reality is this is all on Sony for not shipping enough. Anyway I hope to get something the 15th or so I paid and pre-ordered somewhere else and after this I’ll never pre-order again. But I do want to thank everyone for listening and offering support. I may have sounded like a kid not getting his Christmas present. But I’m renting and that’s costing me more money now and this is my livelihood. But I’m here to support you all and wish you all the best of luck in getting your orders. Truth is folks it’s not the stores it’s Sony. So keep that in mind. Shipping woes is a diffrent story and really frustrating. I got a headache after calling 20 stores today pulling in every favor I could muster and ziltch, nada , nothing. Keep up the hope you get yours on time

I've got a request in for an evaluation loaner on the 24-105mm, and they said it would be mid-December before they had any. Can't imagine it being any better for the A7Riii.

I don't think there are many in Canada at all. The Camera Store, which has a large presence and a good YouTube following (their guys are invited to all the Sony promotional events) only got 5 bodies, and I was somewhere near 25 on the list there.
Canada got a bit screwed on this launch I think. It makes me feel even more fortunate.
Now how long does it take the damn battery to charge?!
EDIT: Oh, I asked the service guy at FusionCine about the online debate regarding screen protectors... he wasn't all that helpful to be honest. It became immediately clear that he was the kind of person who religiously puts a screen protector on everything... his camera, his phone, etc.... so naturally he only recommended I put one on the camera because "Life Happens". I never had R2 but the sound is there. More than the muffled sound of DSLRs. In mechanical its a double sound from 1st and 2nd curtains.
It sounds line how a 1/8 speed will sound, even at 1/250.

Using first curtain electronic shutter it gets rid of the first two steps

I am quite frustrated with Amazon too. I was hitting refresh on my computer at B&H until I could pre-order there. I then went to Amazon and pre-ordered (so I had to be one of the first orders). When I got the following message from Amazon, I canceled my B&H pre-order. Now Amazon tells me it will be December 21. Terrible service at Amazon.
Congratulations to all who received the camera! I will be living vicariously through you for the next few weeks.

Wow, I would be fuming...
Well B&H sent me am email saying my camera has been shipped but according to the tracking information UPS still hasn't even picked it up... No idea when I'll be getting mine. I'm pretty frustrated.

FYI mine is the same. Pretty common to get the label info a day or so before it actually ships. They have a large number of orders bi would not be surprised if it takes a day or two to ship them all.
