I appreciate the advice. If I can get away with the 135 for ceremony portion that would great. I do like the 85 1.4 Art for getting ready shot and indoor where 135 is too long to shoot shallow DOF. Maybe if I can use a macro filter on one of them and sell the Tamron 90 as well.

If not a filter an extension tube should work nicely. Does not change the optics. You will need a tripod though, especially since neither the 85 or 135 have OS, VR, IS or VC.

Keep us posted on how the 135

It's going to be near impossible to get a good quality macro filter for the filter ring sizes of the lenses in question. I understand using the 85 for getting ready, but I use the Tamron 90mm macro for that. 2.8 is plenty shallow still, and you can get much closer to the action (makeup, applying lipstick, etc.)

I'll give the Tamron 90 for getting ready the next wedding and Sigma 135 for ceremony. If all everything works out, I'll get rid of the 85 and 70-200 :-).

Might be trickier with the Sigma Arts due to their large filter size but since it's macro, you can still get conversion rings and use smaller sized close-up filters and just crop a little.
But a 77mm Canon 500D on your 70-200mm II gets you slightly better than 1:2.

Very nice. Do you find it too tight for indoor bride prep in a room?

Yeah, most of the time, but when I have the space the 85 stays in the bag

I am torn between this or a Tamron 70-200 G2 as my next purchase. My main concern with this lens would be the AF tracking abilities. Some review say the AF if fast others say that it is not the greatest.

Any of you used it for any type of tracking?

have not really test it tracking a subject, I mostly use it for portraits. The Tamron is going to be more versatile if you are going to do sports or moving subjects.

No need to stop down beyond f/4.5 for distant landscapes. These two are from Sigma 135/1.8 at f/4.5, processed in LR (contrast, highlights, shadows, colors):

I just got this lens and did a shoot with it this past weekend... and I'm in love with it. Wow. I haven't posted pictures on FM in awhile so when I figure out how to do it again I'll provide some sample pictures.

I took this lens for the weekend and the results are so nice. The rendering of the bokeh does feel special more so than my 85 1.4 Art. I didn't have focusing issue compared to my Sigma 85 1.4 Art (already fine tune with FoCal).

Anyone know if there are any comparison images between this and 200 F2?

There may be test shots with the 200mm F/2, look for the sigma 135mm test shots thread and you should find something there
