This is an amazing lens with very quick auto focus and the optics are extremely sharp with very little if any vignetting wide open. I did a star test last night with the night sky and individual points of light are nearly pinpoint all the way to the extreme corners which makes me very happy. This lens is amazing. So, let's see your images!!!
I actually last night took my sigma 135mm out on my AstroTrac which is a tracking device for the stars and did a star test with the lens and at F/1.8, all of the stars were pinpoint all the way to the corners. There is no chromatic aberration around any of the stars... it was fantastic. I realize that a star test probably doesn't mean much to any of you guys, seeing tiny points of light in the sky on a photograph. However that's really one of the best ways that I can check and test the quality of the optics by seeing how it produces or renders the tiny points of light in the sky. There was also very little vignetting in the image and F/1.8 and by F/2.8 the vignetting is gone and the image quality is improved more. So by using that test, I can tell that this is going to be one heck of a Astro photography lens. Can't wait to photograph the Milky Way using this lens!!! Anyway I just figured I would share how well corrected this new Sigma lens is.

Instead of a thread filled with test shots and argumentative phrases, how about we just start an image thread and everybody just enjoy their sigma 135mm. This is a great idea- would you mind editing the post so that it's available in the Canon forum too?
A session with my niece today. I used the awesome Sigma 135mm f/1.8 and fill flash. I used a nikon SB 700 as a master, then had a tri-bracket that held 3 Nikon SB900 flashes bounced from a 32" umbrella. The lens worked flawlessly and was always in sharp focus. I experimented with shooting wide open, I don't alway but I kind of like it. Was comfortable doing so because of the sharpness of this fine lens.
I hope the colors look ok. I only had my iPhone 7 Plus to process them on with my photoshop express app and Snapseed app.
Ok... I'll look. When I get home I'll fix them. As I mentioned, they were processed on my iPhone... not the best tool to use but I just wanted to show them.

Very nice You have a strong halo effect in the last 3 images that might be due to processing or JPEG compression.
