Is this true that Batis 25 is actually closer to 22-23mm?
I sold my Batis 25 quite sometime ago. I didn't do any direct comparison with the lens I replaced it with, the GM 24mm, but my impression was they are both virtually identical in terms of field of view. It wouldn't surprise me that the actual focal length of the Batis 25 is closer to 24mm. FYI, there is an 18mm lens in the Batis lineup. With that said, I seriously doubt that the Batis 25mm is wider than 24mm. Maybe some folks that still have that lens can compare it with the GM 24mm or similar and chime in here?
Here's the problem with generalized online opinions on whether a given wide angle lens is wider than it's stated focal length. Most if not all lenses in the modern era are designed with the intent to use software correction for vignetting, distortion and so on. Some posters express a liking for using some images without correction, but this is not what the designers intended.
Any valid assessment of the angle of view should be made after the intended correction, and a confirmation that it was in fact used should accompany any expressed opinion.
A modern lens, designed to make use of software correction, should only have its' angle of view determined after such correction. The Batis 25, as one example, will have a wider measured angle of view before correction, and slightly less wide after correction.
My subjective impression of my Batis 25 after correction is that it's more like a 24mm, but I can't support this on any scientific basis.

Ive seen a review once ,they showed that the 24gm is wider when the subject is close to the camera ,and the batis is wider when it it far from the camera.
(or maybe the opposite)
Yes ,the opposite :

Thank you, Stefan! Here is from the same location but early in the morning shortly before sunrise...
Again, simply amazing. But it certainly cannot be denied that the photographer plays a large part in making the thing look so fantastic. Image composition, etc. But that's nothing new in your case. Thank you for sharing. I've been to Las Vegas twice, but only for one evening each time. The last time was probably in 2016. The thing didn't exist then. I guess standing right in front of it is cool, but the true beauty only comes across from the right perspective. Thank you again for sharing!

I really appreciate your kind words, Stefan. The construction of the Sphere was completed late last year and yes, after you were in Vegas. That picture and the one before that was taken from the 41st floor of the Palazzo. Before the Sphere was there, nobody cared about staying in any of the rooms in the entire wing facing the Sphere. Now, rooms there are considered an upgrade and they charge extra for that!
When I was trying to figure out what gear to take with me, I knew I wanted to take a small bag that would allow me to take my Batis 85mm, a small ultra-wide angle lens, and that turned out to be a CV 15mm III and a smallish 40-45mm lens. The Batis 40mm didn't fit in the bag and I ended up taking my Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN lens because of its really small foot print. Had I known the situation before I left, I I could have taken a slightly larger bag to take the Batis 40mm to get a different perspective. Oh, well...
Another update on alternate lens hoods.
I find the Batis hoods quite silly-looking and what's more, they're quite large, making it harder to travel with a full complement of lenses. And more importantly for me, the big goofy hoods are very noticeable on the street.
So I tried a Haoge square hood and it worked on the Batis 25. Then I bought the same hood and made it work on the Batis 40.
The fit on the 25 was loose, and the fit on the 40 was tight, so each hood needed some slight modification in order to keep it solidly in place.
Each hood has a cap, made of aluminum like the hood, so it's a light package overall that doesn't take up much room.
The lens hoods do enough to keep the sun directly out of the lenses, and don't cause any vignette, even on the 25.
Now, I'd like to find something equally elegant and stealthy for the 18mm. But a 77mm hood is inelegant and quite un-stealthy.
Here's what the 40 & 25 look like without hood caps:
