Great pictures, Chuck. I live in New York and may of your shots are very fresh vies of the city that showed me something I hadn't seen before. i especially like the shot from Jersey, across the river, with the angled parked cars. Nice composition!

I agree - very nice pics! There is not any significant light pollution in that direction. If you face a little more West, you get just a hint of glow from Banff. I'm not sure what time of day pic #1 is as the stars and pink cloud is confusing me. Pic #2 would have been taken at sunrise....

Chiron thank you for looking and your kind remarks. That was actually shot from Brooklyn across the East River at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. The city is such an interesting place to shoot especially at night!

Really beautiful stuff here-- I'm coming around to the dedicated/focused image thread idea.
But I think it's also great to keep cross-posting in the big FE thread. That thread is such a wonderful resource-- as is having this thread to help keep the focus. I think they become more valuable individually in their co-existence!

Yes, please cross post. I have been following the big FE thread from the first page and yet, there are images posted here that look "new" to me and that I missed in that big thread.
Two images from the Mask Carnival days in Venice earlier in the year, both with Batis 85mm.
Pic #2 would have been taken at sunrise....
