4,6,8 😲, good grief! Although, when you have a subject like this I feel you could have used a D70 along with a kit lens and garnered the same reaction.

I used to be a fan of these shots more several years ago. Not so much now... if I do these shots, I tend to underexposed my background no more than a full stop. My sweet spot is 1/2 stop darker; I like to balance my subject and background...
I'm a fairly inexperienced studio photographer, but hoping to improve. Feedback/advice appreciated!
This was taken in my living room with a bunch of Godox gear and a beautiful 37-year-old hand-painted canvas backdrop I picked up for $80 on CL recently.
The skies were not very transparent last night, lots of water vapor in the air. So, my Milky Way shot suffered some contrast and clarity. Oh well, I need a cold front to push the garbage out of the air...
@Elijah: yea, all too often haha.
Wished there was a button on the lens I can program to wide open. That way I can quickly toggle between two apertures. Actually my 70-200FL has buttons and I haven't even looked at what I can do with those.
