John I was reluctant to sell my M version as I thought it was no big deal but turns out I really like having the FE version now. The Exif seems like it's not necessary but I actually like having it. Hopefully these will come back in stock rid of its corner smearing.
Yeah, just having trundled around Europe for 3 weeks and taking over 1,000 images, though minor in theory, not having EXIF and having to re-set the focal length for IBIS every time I make a lens switch turned out to be a major inconvenience out on the road and doing post processing.
It would help greatly if Sony would simply report the focal length used by IBIS in the EXIF when manually input - how hard can that be? Another example that shows their engineers don't really use there products the way a customer does.

Is the M mount version suffering from the same corner issues when adapted to E-mount? I've got my honeymoon fast approaching, was hoping they would have this resolved by now.

Well, AFAIK there seem to be good and bad copies in VM- and E-mount.
I haven't seen any news that indicates a change for the better.
The Voigtländer E-Mount 10/5.6 III is probably a better bet.

That's kind of what I figured, but it was worth a shot.
10mm looks super cool, but probably too wide for me most of the time and they increased the price twice on us. Too close to used Loxia 21 pricing for me. Also, I have to be able to pay for said honeymoon

Thanks Guy. I agree with you about the Exif.
I use your Choppy with the TechArt Pro Adapter that can enter the correct focal length of 15mm into the Exif.
That way I also get 3-axis IBIS with AF.
The E-mount version of the lens benefits from 5-axis IBIS as it can transmit the focus distance to the camera.
X- and Y-stabilization is most important for close ups as their stabilization contributions vanish for infinity.

Map Camera in Tokyo is accepting pre-orders for the 12mm https://www.mapcamera.com/item/4530076233027 They changed the date to september 7th from end of august. I also have my honeymoon before that. So, I'm going to take my heavy Zeiss 16-35.
I hope that delay would be because they are checking the corners in every unit. Hahahaha

Interesting info about the removal of the 15mm lens from the CameraQuest website. Makes me wonder if there is a new version in the works, or maybe too many QA problems with the 15?

I was one of the folks who had a copy with smeared corners. Really hope they can correct this as it is a lens I would really like to have
If it is something new, is it wrong to hope for something like a Loxia 15mm....... :-) (since Cosina would be the likely manufacturer)

Maybe they're sick of all the phone calls and emails asking when the new shipment of new and improved lenses is coming.....My 10mm arrived today. Hope I love it and can use it artfully.

Did you guys notice BH and Photo Village have CV15s in stock now? I wonder if they are new well centered ones..
I was just about to post this same thing as I noticed it in stock at B&H. I want to order, but not if this is just a continuation of the previous production line. I'll wait to see if there is news that Voigtlander made some adjustments in manufacturing or design or something that addresses the previous issue(s).

I suppose if the design changed. Then again, they probably don't want to have to replace all of the lenses already sold. But if the manufacturing was tweaked then I doubt the name would change. It took them nearly 3 months to start stocking this lens again. Seems odd if the delay was just because they were surprised with the demand and couldn't keep up given that the demand wasn't *that* great to begin with.
