Karl-Heinz, due to the bad weather I could not use my usual test subject where I can compare center focus and corner focus. The above images were focused at the corner, center focus was not possible.
Boris
OK, I am a noob. In this situation, how do you make the camera focus at the corner other then turning the lens to infinity and relying on the focus peaking indication?

This thread is good info. Nice to see confirmation from other users with what I experienced over a year ago with my bad copy of the 15mm III and subsequent sharper copy from another retailer (thought I was just one unlucky guy and everyone else just had stellar copies).
I've already returned the original bad copy, so can't do any comparisons for you all, but these test shots were exactly what I did over a year ago comparing the two copies.

I'm going for the 10mm first and see how I like the e-mount first!

Well, keep your current version and compare against the many E-mounts until you finally get the perfect one.
How does that sound to you?

I must say Steve Gandy at Camera Quest is a stand up guy. It's unfortunate Voigtlander has all these QC issues that put the dealers at a bad spot.
Maybe hire a student/intern/under-employed relative and have them test every single lens that arrives. Offer AAA and AA grading at a premium price. AAA would be Choppy calibre. AA would be along the lines of #5 for Boris, etc. Save the wasted time and shipping back and forth.

Or Guy can start a testing and hood chopping service.

First of all, thank you for all the information in this forum.
I was thinking to buy one in Japan because the 8% tax free, so I did some quick test to the unit they have at Yodobashi Camera Store in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
Now, I can confirm the same for the japanese version.
Next week I'm going to Tokyo and there I'm going to try in Map Camera to see if they are aware of that or if they have some units to test berfore buying. I had something similar with my Sigma 10-20mm whith my old Canon 7d.
