You know me and my wildflowers, I just cannot resist them! A super bloom in Death Valley is a very rare event - decades could pass before we see another one. So my friend and I rounded up a few subjects (one kid and one pregnant mama) and headed out to see what we could find. The lower elevation flowers were already done, but we found this amazing sea of golden flowers and it was just perfect! We had a very short shooting window but I'm happy with what I got. If I can convince my husband, I may have to trek out there again with our own kids this weekend.
First up is Izzie - what a cute little girl! She was a lot of fun to work with!
Next up is Danielle - she is due around the same time as I am.
Thank you! I'm expecting our next little one to make her arrival late next month. This is definitely our last so trying my hardest to enjoy it despite the fact that being pregnant and not 25 anymore is definitely challenging. lol
Rookie. She didn't even number her pics so we can make individual comments on them. Geesh, you'd think she was pregnant or something.
I'm so biased with your photography. No. 1, I belong in the Southwest, not here in the frigid wasteland they call Chicago. And No. 2, you style is very similar to where I want to be with my outdoor portraits. So I like to just stare at your pics for awhile. Just sensational.
You're such a lucky girl to make shoots in this dreamy fields We can't find such lovely places in France! and this light is absolutely gorgeous! I love your photography!! Your style is sensational ♥
Lovely set Lisa, your images are so consistently outstanding.
More importantly, your work often brings the viewer into a world that celebrates babies and children.
Congratulations on the pending arrival of your new baby girl. My wife and I were at a "reveal" dinner for friends tonight --- she baked the cake for the occasion --- great fun, more importantly such a memorable connection for families.
What no pickles and ice cream? ...Lisa..I read about this phenomina here back East and wondered who would get to DV and post....You made it!!! Some of the images are 3D! I can almost see the space between the young girl and the mtn range. Just great photography!
