I usually do not come to People Photography forum. Whenever I do, I first check if you have uploaded any photos. There are days, when I see no new posts from you, I just close the browser.
These are wonderful. Also the wonderful news that you are expecting. May be next week, you can ask your husband the press the shutter while you stand in the midst of the wildflowers.
Spectacular work! Congrats on the new baby coming!
My wife and I are over 50 and we have a 6 year old, so yeah, its a bit challenging. I try to concentrate on the pluses of being a "late-in-life-parent"
I love your work, care to impart any background on how these were lit? I see warm backlighting, I assume from setting sunlight, some broad based fill (reflector?) and on some a cooler edge light (flash?). Very curious would like to know. I shoot product but would like to take better portraits of my family and friends.
Fantastic work as usual. Your photography is always spectacular and inspiring! You have beautiful kids. Congrats on the pending arrival of your daughter!
Was this all manual focusing? Everything looks way too spot on! It's like an angel is clicking that shutter and mouse button. Definitely going to follow your work.

You know me and my wildflowers, I just cannot resist them! A super bloom in Death Valley is a very rare event - decades could pass before we see another one. So my friend and I rounded up a few subjects (one kid and one pregnant mama) and headed out to see what we could find. The lower elevation flowers were already done, but we found this amazing sea of golden flowers and it was just perfect! We had a very short shooting window but I'm happy with what I got. If I can convince my husband, I may have to trek out there again with our own kids this weekend.
First up is Izzie - what a cute little girl! She was a lot of fun to work with!
