FYI, for those interested, 47th photo has the Canon version in stock. I am ordering another one right now, and sending my first one back. If the 2nd one sucks, I'll get another metabones, or sell all my Canon lenses.

Maybe I am missing something but Sigma stamped the following on the MC-11: "DESIGNATED SIGMA LENSES ONLY" (verbatim and in caps). Maybe they do mean it. If one or two Canon EF lenses work on it then I would consider that as bonus.

Although I do need to update the FW of my only Sigma Art lens, it seems to work fine on the MC-11, including the Eye AF. I would say about on par with that of Metabones. I will get the dock today and I will update the FW of the lens and I am crossing my fingers that it would work a tad better. The big question is how well it will work on the 150-600mm lens for wildlife. At any rate the MC-11 is some $150 less expensive than the MB IV and it seems to be well made.

Canon 11-24mm works great on the Metabones IV. I posted plenty of images from both Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons and Monument Valley from last month on the big Sony FE thread.

Been testing the MC-11on the 7RM2. Works well if the 7RM2 is running FW version 3.00, but a lot of new apps will not work, and as well, the GM lenses don't focus as well with 3.00. I just re-checked the 24-70GM and 85GM on a body with FW 3.00. There was a little noticeable difference in focusing, the things I really noticed were focusing noise on the 85, both hunt (over-shoot) for final focus (no snap), and the 24-70GM has quite a bit of barrel distortion at 24, that seems to be corrected in-camera in 3.10 and 3.20.

On my Sigma 24-105, Eye-AF is inconsistent. Otherwise all other functions work.

Better then my MBIV.

Exif appears when you mouse over the upper right corner. First you see pics with the 5DSR + TS-E 24 II, then with the 24-70 II, and then the TS-E with the A7R2. I did a series with each adapter, MB first, unshifted, shifted 12mm down, 5mm down. Man focused using LV at the center and lower left corner (so there are two versions of each picture).

I could see no major differences, but right now I have more confidence in my MB adapter. There is less fuss with it, using non-Sigma lenses, and the FW has

Can you re-do your test by shifting horizontally? Shifting up and down only uses 24mm + 12mm (up) + 12mm (down). Horizontal shifted goes further into the image circle. 36mm + 12mm (left) +12mm (right). So your test is only the equivalent to shifting 6mm of horizontal shift.

great. i will check that out after work. do the edges look good as well? i really want to use that lens when i go to crater lake again in a year or two because 10mm on a Fuji XT1 was not enough.

I used the lens between f/8 and f/11 and tripod mounted to get an extended depth-of-field inside the tight canyons and yes, even the corners are sharp, not only the edges. I will be posting more images from Monument Valley using that lens in the same thread, too.

I received the MC-11 yesterday and the dock to update my lens I just received today. After the update of the lens FW, I played around with it. Not only it feels more sure footed in the AF department but it appears that lens performs better on the MC-11 than on the Metabones IV. Am I imagining this? What I meant with better, is that the corners seem to pull in closer to the center at wide aperture settings, like f/1.4 and f/2. The center sharpness is about equal on both but the corners seem to be sharper using the MC-11 but again, I didn't do any side-by-side comparison, just comparing random images that were taken at different time. Maybe I am imagining it... but for sure, the MC-11 doesn't perform worse than the MB but again, I am only using my only Sigma lens, the 20mm f/1.4 Art.

Yep, I'll try to redo the test. I realized I should have shifted left/right after the fact. Anyways, I'm already pretty impressed with the unshifted IQ, from both the TS-E 24 II and also the 24-70 II at 24mm, even wide open, on the high MP bodies.

Horizontal shifting test done, results are here:

http://eyvindness.zenfolio.com/tse24a7r2

working towards the image circle (12mm shift left/right) reveals visible issues of edge smearing and vignetting, but this must be related to the lens itself, since I get similar results on the 5DSR. On the A7R2 the adapter in use (MC-11 and MBIV) doesn't seem to make any difference. Unshifted, I get excellent results on both cameras, and both adapters. No smearing.

As a side-note, I much prefer working with the 5DSR as it has a better LCD, with more magnification for more precise manual focus. I like the leveling tool better, too.

Is there a way to see 100% picture? I can't find a way. Thanks!

Has anyone used the MC-11 with a7S and/or other non-PDAF bodies. Does the performance differ from other adapters?

I got my replacement MC-11, and it works just as bad as the other one, going to send this one back as well. total bust.

Thank you for your effort on doing those tests, it's hard to find out compatibilty tests with tilt shift lenses with MC-11 on A7Rii, took me some time to get here and after chekcing out your test result, it seems pretty encouraging.
However i'm planning on getting the 17mm TS-E, don't know if that will have similiar result, like edge smearing&aperture controling etc

I have some test images taken with TS-E 17mm & A7R2 & non-modified MB4-T. It works better than the 24mm version but still worse than with 5Dsr.

I could post some when I get home from my travels.

Received my MC-11 for Sigma lens adapter yesterday and thought it was defective initially as my Sigma Art 24/1.4 seemed to be in continuous AF mode even without touching the shutter button on my A7r. The lens would just lock onto everything it was pointed at all the time. As I was running an older A7r Firmware, I updated to the current version but that turned out not to be the issue. Either as a default setting or maybe I accidentally set it, I don't know as I have never used an AF lens with this camera previously, there is a menu setting called "Pre AF" which was on. Turning that off solved the problem. Just an FYI in case anyone runs into the same thing...

Yes that's a "killer" feature. I too thought that my 35/2.8 was broken as it was constantly hunting something as I turned power on. It was by default enabled in a7r2. *shudders*

That would be great, thanks!
I decided to go with the MC-11 anyway until i found out these comparison photos between mc-11 and mb4, its quite shocking. The MB4 have a far better corner sharpness compared to the mc11, don't know if the sigma is a bad copy or what so ever.
