That would be great, thanks!
I decided to go with the MC-11 anyway until i found out these comparison photos between mc-11 and mb4, its quite shocking. The MB4 have a far better corner sharpness compared to the mc11, don't know if the sigma is a bad copy or what so ever.
check it out down below http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3994630?page=4
I'm the guy who make that comparison the result was very similar to Tony Northrup's review of the MC-11 when he compare it to the metabones, with the Canon16-35 f4. So I don't think it is about a bad copy of MC-11.
During the test, corner sharpness of the MC-11 improved slowly when zoom in, and at 35mm it's equal to the Metabones, so if you use it with FL equal or longer than 35mm, it may be okay.
Oh that was you too, what a coincidence =P
Again, thanks for the comparison photo, in my case when using the 17mm TS-E only, i'll go for the metabones for best corner sharpness. It's a shame after spending so much on the body and the lense, the IQ is depending on an overpriced third party adapter.
Performance with 35 ART and 150-600 Sport was really bad.
Funny though it worked fine with Canon 24-70 2.8L II.
Bottom line: really bad performance with lenses that it supposed to be compatible with, and good performance with lens that it's not advertised to work with.

Received my MC-11 yesterday and I am returning it today! Only Art lens I tried it with was the 35 1.4art and whilst eye-af etc all function, unfortunately accuracy and consistency is not there.
In comparison to my Metabones IV there is no contest regarding AF speed and accuracy, the Metabones wins hands down. Also noted that it had a hard time with backlit subjets where the Metabones didn't have any problem.
Interestingly the A7rii AF assist beam works with the MC-11 but again results were inconsistent with a lot of OOF shots even though focus was confirmed by the camera.
The MC-11 does work well with my Canon mount lenses but again in my opinion the Metabones IV simply works better, ie faster AF aquisition and accuracy.
I will stick with the MBIV and may look again at the MC-11 if Sigma starts to tweak the firmware. Its early days for the Sigma adapter, Metabones have been tweaking their firmware for some time now to get where they are....Show more →
same here, Sigma really screwed this one up.
Maybe sometime in future there will be some magical firmware to fix the issues, but at this point stay away from it.
My MC-11 worked flawlessly. Used on the Sigma 24-35 art and the Sigma 150-600 C. Focus was spot on both lenses.I'm keeping a death grip on my MC-11. Sorry that others are disappointed.

Do you have Canon mount or Sigma mount Sigma Global Vision lenses?
I have the Canon mount. I confess it took me a little while to set the "preAF" to off to make it work better. Other than that....It worked great. Keep in mind, I don't do video. Only stills.

Guess I'm a little lost on this pre AF issue. Does that need to be turned off.
Yes. On my A7r + the MC-11, with the apparently default "Pre AF" on, my Sigma was constantly focusing on everything the camera was pointed at without me touching the shutter button. I guess this is how the function is intended but having never used an AF lens on my A7r previously, I did not know it was set to on by default. I suspect if you are not seeing this behavior, you may have turned it off at some point early on.
Anyone experienced a problem with MC-11 and Canon IS lenses? I tested MC-11 with Canon 70-200/4 IS. It seems when the lens IS switch is on, both lens IS and body IBIS are working and causes some confusion. When lens IS is off, both lens IS and IBIS are turned off. I tested with 200mm and 1/50s. With MC-11 I sometimes get blurry shots with lens IS on and mostly blurry shots when lens IS off, but with Metabones I mostly get clear sharp shots, with lens IS on or off.

I am debating purchasing this adapter for my 7R. How do you like it overall?

Someone was asking how the MC-11 works with Zeiss ZE manual lenses.
I only have the Distagon 15/2.8 ZE to test with and with this lens, it does not work AT ALL.
No exposure control, aperture control and EXIF shows: DT 15mm F0 SAM for all images.
Fred, did you base this on just looking at whether adjusting aperture before taking a shot had effect or did you attempt to shoot at different apertures as well? I just tried an MC-11 with my 100 ZE and the aperture control does work however the lens's aperture only adjusts when taking a shot and then stays at that new aperture until the next adjustment + shot. It's possible to map DOF preview to a button and then use that to adjust the aperture prior to shooting.
However this lack of stop-down metering on my 100 ZE results in the same issue swldstn reported with the 50L:

To all who have invested in the MC-11. If your trying to test your MC-11 with a Canon lens it might work but I strongly recommend making sure in your test you expose as well as just trying to focus.

I finally realized that when you turn the camera on the first image works fine. The second one the expose drops the shutter speed to ~ 1/6 (I was shooting in Aperture Priority) and your over exposed since for my images the expected shutter speed what closer to 1/250 or 1/500 when exposing properly. It did this every time.
I believe I have an explanation of what's going on here, at least as it occurs with my 100 ZE. With the adapted lens, the camera is not stopping down (or up) the lens as the aperture is adjusted in the camera. After shooting, the lens is left with the aperture at the last shot's setting. The camera thinks it is doing wide-open metering (while it normally does stop-down metering with FE lenses) and so it's adjusting the exposure for the selected aperture in anticipation of stopping down for the shot. So for example with an f/2 lens like the 100 ZE shooting at f/16 when the lens is already at f/16 has the camera thinking it is metering at f/2 and then calculating the exposure for f/16. However since the lens was already at f/16, this results in a 6-stop over-exposure. The reason turning the camera on & off works is that doing so opens the lens back up to wide open. So after the "reboot" the first shot at f/16 is correct but then the lens is left at f/16 and all subsequent shots are over-exposed. Shooting at f/2, all shots are exposed correctly.
Question for those who have non-Sigma lenses that do expose correctly for multiple shots at a non-wide-open aperture: are you seeing the camera do stop down metering as with native FE lenses or at least opening the lens back up after the shot?
