There is an video over on youtube that is very good to use at a starting point!!

Where's 'John Black' when you need him ( http://www.pebbleplace.com/ )? A table similar to that for Contax and Leica would be handy.

I have a Commlite and recently picked up an MC-11. The Commlite was terribly inconsistent with a 24-105L (mk 1) and AF wouldn't work at all with an 85/1.8. With the MC-11 and latest firmware they both perform almost as native and are very usable. Not all focus modes are available but other than the lock-on modes I hardly miss them. I think you'll be quite pleased with the MC-11, hope it works well with the 24-70/4.
Do yoiu get eye AF with the 24-105? Thinking about purchasing the older version of this lens!!

Unfortunately, no. I just tried with firmware 1.02 and upgraded to 1.03 to see if they snuck it in there, but no change. Does eye AF or other advanced modes work on any Canon lenses? I think Sigma probably wants to keep those modes to their lens lines.

No, Eye-AF and other advanced AF settings are supported with "designated Sigma lenses only", that means only Sigma Global Vision lenses have those features when use with the MC-11.
Sorry if this topic has been already discussed, but is there a way to activate IBIS when you pair the MC-11with a Canon lens with optical stabilization ?.
I’m using the adapter with a Canon 24-70/4L-IS and my only gripe is that the MC-11 disables IBIS, with disregard of if you set the lens stabilizer switch to ON or OFF. Lens stabilization seems to be less effective than IBIS. For instance, with a Commlite adapter (which doesn’t disables IBIS) I was able to get sharp pictures at 70mm. with speeds as low as 1/6”. Using the MC-11 and lens stabilization I can’t go lower than 1/12” or so before seeing some blur in the images. It’s me or is this a common occurrence.?
Apart from this quibble, my Canon lenses seem to work quite better with the Sigma MC-11 than with the Commlite, which isn’t surprising considering the price differential between these two adapters, although I miss a tripod socket in the MC-11.

I think the answer to your question is no. But i've read that metabones adapter does allow the user to choose. All i've confirmed myself is that IBIS on my non-stabilized EF 85 f1.8 is very good using the MC-11
I have to say, comparing to the metabones I did not feel any difference with my stabilized lenses which are the 70-200mm 2.8 IS ii and Tamron 15-30mm 2.8
I haven't made serious test comparing IBIS and On-lens IS but my first impression is that IBIS gives almost one stop of advantage in terms of usable low shutter speed. Maybe it's only a psychological thing and seeing that message in the viewfinder telling me that IBIS is OFF makes my hands extra shaky.
Canon 2.8/70-200 L IS (the original, not II) works to a point but is not ideal. AF is slow and needs good light and high contrast but works better at the 70-135 range of the zoom and is noticeably worse at 200mm. I found myself focusing manually quite a lot at the long end of the zoom, even in full sun. Not sure how useful this combo will be as I've only been using it for stationary subjects with time to focus, even manually when needed.
Canon 4/17-40 L seems to work OK but needs high contrast or will struggle, more so than on Canon body. Focusing seems about the same all along the zoom range and appears to focus OK at edges.
Canon 2.8/24-70 L (the original, not II) Seems to work OK with central focus spot but really struggles when using off-centre focus spots. Not sure how useable this will prove to be in practice, but works to a point.
Canon 4/17 TS-E Yes, we all know it works, just thought I'd add that I haven't noticed any objectionable performance although I only have the 5D2 to compare it to (with the A7RII). Many have commented that extreme corners with extreme shift are bad with the MC-11 compared to Canon bodies but I can't say I'm seeing any issues with the way I've been using the combo, also with a lot of shift, both H and V. Actually, it's much nicer to use on the A7RII because it's not that easy to get 100% accurate focus on the 5D2 (mine has the eg-s screen) whilst it's quite easy to do that on the A7RII, anywhere along the image. I'm a happy camper.
I was under a similar choice but at the end, the Canon EF 35mm 1.4L II just won me over with its amazing 1.4 sharpness across the frame which I use for more flexible composition since I dont place my subject in the center for my environmental portraits. Also its bokeh is fantastic so I didnt have to sacrifice that either and the CA control is much better than the Zeiss too.
Not cheap of course is the main issue with it
I find it fast and accurate with A7Rii and A6300. Not complaints at all in that department either. I am guessing the Native one was faster but testing back and forth I never notice something that brought any differences to my attention so that is a good thing.

Does the MC11 support Eye AF (nit face) with the Canon 1.4/35?

Sadly only with Sigma lenses but at 35mm for my shooting style it is not a problem since I use it for environmental portraits were the subject is not close enough for it to work even with the Zeiss.
But if someone likes to shoot closer to the subject with the 35mm then I can see how Eye AF will surely be nice since its a feature I absolutely love.
