do you really do not use filters any more? do you have good experience with sky hdr?
regards
The SR app is really great, I use it all the time on my A7RII. I am actually using the A7RII more than the A7RIII just for that reason. I used the sky hdr app a couple times, very clumsy, by the time you finish fiddling with the settings, the good light is probably gone, I think it's much quicker to take a few bracket shots and blend them in post.
Thanks Fred!
Yeah the tracker was on for the sky. Interesting thing I never thought about - since this is the first time I've ever shot astro with a reflection - the stars still trail in the reflection.
Because they turn the opposite way in the reflection 🤔

Great shot!
Did you use a tracker for the sky exposure?

I don't quite know why, but I really like the rendering in this image... I'm not sure how it will come across downsized and compressed for the web.
I really like the Lox 35/2's rendering at f/2.8 and smaller.

How would you compare it to the Voigtländer 40mm at 2.8 and up? Purely from a rendering perspective, which do you prefer?
I have the Loxias 25, 35 and 50, have never tried the Voigtländer.

The Loxia (when stopped down a bit) has a smoother transition zone than the Voigtlander. It's one of the reason why I like the Loxia.
