Details:
Favorite lens = 500/4 IS
One of my "up close and personal" images from Homer. To get this image I had to (unsuccessfully) try and remain calm while using all my will power to (successfully) get the eagle to stay on its perch about 8 feet away while I contorted myself to slowly and simultaneously twist half my body up and out of the truck window while attaching a 25mm extension tube to the darn lens and the lens back onto the camera, being careful not knock my beanbag onto the ground and somehow not bump my knee into the truck's steering wheel mounted horn or kick my nearby Digibin half way across the cab
10D, 1/100s, f/6.3 at 700.0mm (500/4 IS + 1.4 II TC) + 25mm extension tube, iso400. RAW processed in PS CS and Neat Image. Ever so slightly cropped for a more balanced comp.
