Sorry, I accidentally made this its own post in the forum. Here it is again.
This was shot with the 70-200/4L near wide open, in Tibet under direct bright sunlight. Not sure of shot settings as it was on film using the Elan II body.
This is my all time favorite picture. I almost fell into the freezing ocean off the little Zodiac trying to get it; I have three pictures in the sequence, the other two have a corner of the ice berg clipped, but the last one worked. _Perfect_ fit, thank you 1Ds... Just seconds before I had the 70-200 mounted and as we were floating around I saw this coming into view... swapped lenses in record time, switched exposure modes, and the seal played along by lifting its head just at the time when I pressed the shutter. When I saw it in the viewfinder I knew it would be a mural; now it "owns" my office wall
