Gosh I hope that CV do the same redo on the 12; If I had the little cv 12 (even it's a little less little after it's updated) in my bag along with the 16-35 I'd lose all Canon 11-24 envy....

Hey Bob, how bad is the CA? Thanks.
I've only noticed a bit of CA when shot wide open (f/4.5). Where I have seen it, it cleans up with a single check of the box in Lightroom. I haven't had to work any harder than that to date.

Thanks, there's a guy on SAR that is complaining about CA(grey halo from being fixed) with a 2.7MP image that was linked to: https://www.flickr.com/photos/piebigstar/16315108633/
I can see there's huge chromatic aberration, you've removed it in photoshop but it's left a great big grey line around stuff.
I couldn't see any sign of it, thought it best to ask here.

I can look for a better example when I get home but I'm remote accessing into my desktop for this example. I believe this was shot at f/5.6. First the full image, then a crop of one area with some CA, followed by the same crop where all I did was check the CA box in Lightroom. I haven't seen anything with more CA than this to date and it's been only a few images (including some night images). Again, this is just a quick edit by checking the CA box. the purple slider was set to zero. A setting of 2-3 gets rid of the purple fringing completely.

I didn't play around with sun position too much but did try other points in the frame. I would characterize this image as typical. Once in a while, not here, I see a bit of sensor reflections but it's more a function of the camera than the lens.

Looks good, have you moved the sun through a range of positions to see where the worst areas are?
If you did, and this is the worst... I will love it.

Bob, Mike, some nice examples already. How's the sharpness across the frame? Good corners/edges? Any weird field curvature?
I feel it's pretty sharp across the frame. Certainly some drop off in the corners but the where it's sharp, it's very sharp! Haven't noticed any curvature yet but I haven't tried to study that either.
