Psychic1 has made some fantastic (fantasy) claims, but he never claimed to be a Canon insider. While he may have denied ever seeing a thread that he himself participated in, he has not otherwise materially misrepresented his assertions about a new camera other than to say it is his "prediction". That isn't "lying to a bunch of people."
About the only "lies" I caught are in the post sequence below, from two years ago, when Psychic1 made the same prediction (a 46mp 1DsX for 9K ). Basically, he said he special ordered this body from a friend who works at B&H. While obviously not true, there doesn't seem anything malicious to me about his fantasy banter.
What is truly troublesome is how much traction a single source rumor can gain, where in the rumor's reiteration around the net by persons just as hungry for eyeballs and attention as the OP, eventually graduates itself to become a multisource corroborated rumor, when it fact, it remains solely and squarely the fiction of one internet forum post, by one author, who very specifically stated that he has no affiliation with Canon other than being a CPS member.
After my post below nearly killed the thread, it lives on, and then became the subject of another member's blog for more eyeballs on the social dynamic herein described. How could anyone not want this thread to continue, to see where it goes next, while still remaining somewhat on the topic of unannounced new Canon cameras that lag behind Sony sensors?
I check in every few pages!

But getting back to all of your posts in the other thread that you said you never seen before...
Two years later, repeat pattern, as before, a few weeks before the local PhotoPlus show in NYC. Eventually, Canon will release an improved, more expensive camera. So eventually, your “predictions” will be close to correct. In the meantime, you got people’s attention, once again. Is that what you wanted? (If you recall)  !
