My name is Psychic1 and I approved this prediction and thread.
This whole thread reiterates the point that Canoniers are very hungry for a revolution from Canon. Let's not deny that many are dissatisfied with the current state of things, this hoax pulled by Psychic, proves it. Many are agitated, tired of waiting, adopting Sony or Nikon to fill the void. That is why any ounce of rumor about Canon creates a big buzz in the Canon community.

I don't think that a relatively small number of people reading a gear-oriented thread on a photography website represents "Canoniers" or the "Canon community." Ditto for canon rumor sites. Personally, I don't feel agitated or excited over this in the least, and I suspect I'm not alone.

True, but this doesn't mean that those who don't frequent these sites are less frustrated.

My 1DX continues to give me awesome output so while I'm disappointed in not having new gear to talk about, it really doesn't affect my photography.
Exactly where I stand. I love my 1DX & current lineup of lenses, mostly for the consistent output of great results with very very minimal work in post. (Lightroom is also to thank, mind you.)
That said, I would love to see some long overdue sensor improvements from Canon in terms of base ISO output.
Well one of the threads with more views and posts on the Canon Forum is the "Sony A7 and A7r Full Frame with Canon Lenses " thread... that should tell you something... Over 330,000 Views

Psychic1, your 15 minutes are over. Way over...
Every dog has his day, and Psych had his 40 or so days .
However, a number of people had fun with the topic, regardless of what some of us may think of the "psychic prediction" that triggered the proceedings. Entertainment doesn't have to be deep nor coherent.
It was a nice vacation to believe that canon might be able to innovate in the sensor market. Back to avoiding FM until canon has something fun and new to release.
Just took a trip back in time, a rangefinder, my 1st 35mm from many moons, a well kept Yashica Electro 35 GSN, it's sensor is flocking amazing, ya just can't beat Velvia, PanF...and a bulb cable release!
Shipping from Japan took a bit but was worth it. Canon will at some point grab the DR horse and ride it for all it's worth, just not today...

That, or it's a case of "first world problems". Look at the nikon forum, and there's a ton of angst about the 7d2.
Seriously, if the worst thing that happened to you this month is that you have to keep shooting with your 1dx your life is going pretty well

Yeah, but 200K of those are Retrofocus.

Given the number of Canon camera's in the Amazon DSLR top selling list, the level of frustration does not seem to match the rhetoric in the forums.
