I think it is indeed one of the finest 35mm lens in M system and I still keep it as you do.
It is indeed excellent lens with impressive sharpness for all around purpose.
Used with Panasonic S1R

I tried using VN 35/1.7 and ZM 35/1.4, and CV 35/2 APO for Sony.
Each presents top quality image in sharpness and color uniqueness.
VM 35/1.7 is now low price and indeed one of the finest 35mm lens.

I love this lens...
On my Sony A7C.
Nice shots! It was one of my favorite lenses and I only sold it when purchasing the Leica 35/1.4 FLE. In some ways the Voigtlander performed even better though.

Thank you Fred.
I love it so much. Thing is, after 35/1.5 was released last year, I wanted to swap my 35/1.7 for it. I haven't done it yet as I cannot really tell if its worth extra money. I like new lens size and I love that brass version paint, but not sure if swapping and spending more money will give me any advantage. Just to put it in perspective - I don't know how much would I get for my 35/1.7 - maybe £550. Then I would need to add another £300 for brass 35/1.5.

I'm not sure, if the new CV35/1.5 is optically better at all? There were some information about midzone dip on fast apertures. I've put focus tab on Ultron and using it is much much better now.
Really love this little gem!

Yes, it's this one. It fits and works nicely. It's definitely not the prettiest solution, but it's very functional.
IMHO using the lens with this tab is much better than before.

Just a warning to anyone buying one of these used, avoid the LTM version. There are two versions of the M mount, one that looks like the old LTM version and has the aspherical inscription in red on the front and a 0.9m mfd. Avoid this old version in both the l39 (LTM) and M version, they are prone to haze and develop a wobble issue thats hard to fix. Also the haze develops in between a set of lens elements thats cemented together.
I bought one off a Japanese auction site and there was no mention of the haze and i did not check it until recently so i cant even return it. The photos still look great when there is no backlighting, there is a lot of hazeflare when shooting it into light. Its like having a permanent diffusion filter on it now...oh well, will just have to make the most of it
I usually do my research before buying a lens but i was thrown off by popular reviewers stating that the m mount version is the new one but it turns out there is an old and new m mount version of this lens.
If you are buying the M mount version make sure its the new M mount version.
