Tek9, keep the pics of Bruce coming-very nicely done and very enjoyable!
Thanks! Bruce is having a surgery on Thursday. We're removing a non-malignant cyst from his hind leg (it has been slowly growing). So it's ~2 weeks of downtime for Mr Bruce after that.

I assume that's the cyst, left rear leg, just above the water, p. 46 "Will you throw the stick, finally?"
Yep. We had it tested a year ago and came back as 'benign apocrine gland cyst'. The vet said to not touch it unless it bothers him. It was much smaller (https://flic.kr/p/2c6MVDB) but slowly growing so we decided to take care of it.
Vet thought it's not attached to anything but when they cut it open yesterday it turned out it's attached to some nerve and close to the ligament. It was fully removed without messing with the ligament luckily. It's going to be tested again now and Bruce should have his sutures removed in 10-14 days.
Does this mean he's wearing a neck cone? Our beagle Molly, who is 11 and thinks she's two, has had one on for a week now due to a benign cyst removal from a far more embarrassing location. Can't imagine Bruce with a neck cone. They don't know to allow that extra clearance when they try to jump somewhere.

He got a massive 30cm cone but he can't even walk upstairs in it (just rams into the stair steps), so it's staying off unless we leave him alone or go to sleep. Luckily I mostly work from home. Will definitely put it back on if he's being left alone. He knows not to pick at the bandage (that comes off in 2 days). Just need to get through another 10 days until sutures are removed.
Good luck to Bruce from Bruce. Our 12-yo Pug had the "cone of shame" after a knee operation. She had the hardest time figuring out how to get her face down to the floor to pick up dropped food. Bruce has snout so he should manage better lol.
