OK, I'll "bite"
Here's one of the very first images I took with my then new to me Nikon Df (March 2018). I think I used my 105mm f2.5 AI lens. I do not have my LR catalog with me, so I can't give more detail than that. I was just playing at the time, so this is an unaltered, SOOC jpeg (cropped to 4:5 ratio)
My dog's name is "Mysti", as it was a "mystery" where she came from, and the cat is "Tweak", as he can become a real "tweaker" when he's been in the catnip. I got lucky as they stayed still for just long enough to take this
Sent this old guy on his way the other night. Picture from last summer, Red was an old dog for a long time and outlived expectations by at least a year. Never known a sweeter dog, everyone fell in love with him right away.
D750 + 85mm 1.4D
Thank God for Rainbow Bridge.... what a beautiful dog, what a beautiful picture....keep it close. At times, that will help with the sadness. I'm saddened as well by your loss. anthony
They do leave a giant hole in your heart when they have to leave us. Sorry for your loss of Red. The extra year was definitely bonus time.

Some of you might enjoy This Farming Life, from Britain. I get it on Britbox through Prime, but there are other routes, I'm sure.
Beautiful series, all of it filmed in Scotland. No animals are slaughtered on screen, or about to be. There are some deer hunting segments, not many, that you can skip easily.
But there are terrific border collie scenes in fantastic landscapes. Border collies who redefine the meaning of the word "alert." And some other dogs as well. There are now two seasons available. One couple, the Martins, stayed for the second season.
I remember riding the ferries to the Outer Hebrides and seeing as many as fifteen dogs, mostly border collies, piled up together asleep in the top viewing room. Just a pile of dogs, all folded together.

Thanks for posting, Don. "The look of love."
Thank you Anthony for the kind words Yes, he is a lover.... so good with people of all ages. We refer to him as our "Good Will Ambassador" and think of him as our greatest blessing.

I don't believe it's possible to film a show in Scotland that doesn't look incredible. I'll check it out, sounds neat. Border Collies do certainly embody the word "alert." There's no fooling 'em.
This is taken on Ektar 100 with the F5 and probably the 50 f/1.8 Series E, and developed with chemicals that are past their prime. "Scanned" with the D500.
