Ava - Bruce's best friend (and the 1st dog that played with him) - passed away recently. She was 9 years old and the cancer (hemangiosarcoma) moved quickly. Despite surgery (spleen removal) and recovery that was looking pretty good... nothing could be done to save her.
My friend Shaz (Ava's dog parent since puppy time) is pretty devastated. Bruce is our 1st dog - I can't even imagine what's going to be like years down the road.
Luke, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your friends dog. It certainly is a very difficult thing for us as dog parents and dog lovers alike to deal with. We love our pets as children as they very much a part of our family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Thanks, Don. It's sad for sure, and a good reminder to cherish every day we get to spend with them.
Luke, please pass on to your friends my heartfelt sadness at the loss of Ava...As you know so well, Bruce gives his all, ALL, in response to your and your family's love for him. A buddy of mine once told me that "our dogs bring out the best in us." Rainbow Bridge is a reality...So, love him while you have him. He's a beaut and I'll bet he is also suffering the loss of his best Bud, Ava.
I know these look staged but they were very impromptu and quick. We saw this Radio Flyer by the front door of the winery we were leaving, dropped the pup in, and I hardly had time to focus (for obvious reasons).
You can see the quick progression from "cool!" to "wait. is this a cage?" to "where can I escape" haha

I'm seeing that the colors I'm seeing on my FM uploads are so much more saturated than on my screen in Photoshop (and Windows Image Viewer). Is it my browser? I'm on Chrome. Also, I'm hosting the pics myself.
