In case of Bruce it's more of a hovering "down". His whole torso is 2 inches of the ground while he's completely tense and ready to go. must be the part of border-collie intensity.

Exif is included in that shot - 1/1600s. I used dynamic area AF. I have one of my custom buttons set up for auto-ISO with a minimum SS of 1/1600 when I shoot my dog in action - works very well! Only annoyance is the the release mode (fps) doesn't save with the custom settings (I used continuous high for that shot).
