The rendering of the 28 is excellent, Archie is a great looking dog

Thanks Ryan The 28E is my almost go to lens now in spite that I am a 50mm shooter. Yes Archie is amazing particularly he came from the animal welfare league about 6 years ago.

Back in the summer I was out looking for birdlife and this lady went past with her very excited dog.
I managed to grab a couple of snaps of it.

Thanks Bruce. Actually the story continues, I was looking at the pics a few days ago and realised that I could read a phone number on the dog's collar. I texted the owner and was able to send them some pictures. They were pretty pleased :-)

Such a great guy most of the time. Loves his toys and people.

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4879/31255935497_ba5270835a_b.jpg

Boredom gets the better of him though.

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4840/46195077051_dd4c5e6068_b.jpg

Poor treatment and lack of socialization in the past has him get over excited too easily and trouble starts. i think this guy would do good with a family that runs daily but they would have to be very dog savvy. Buddy is a bit of risk with new people but he loves everyone he gets to know.

My first contribution to the dog thread. This is Mugsy. He really enjoys the fireplace on cold winter days.

Well it been long enough and i can finally talk about it.

Lost one of my boys last week. I dont have to tell anyone here how it feels im sure everyone has been thru it already. He was a great dog, so smart and sometimes friendly lol. I rescued him 16 years ago.

We had a 11 inches of snow last night and my dogs had barely seen snow before. They had a blast playing and I got a couple of shots of them playing.

Dbltfarmer - Wow that first shot is fantastic!

CritterRacing - Sorry to hear you lost a long-time companion. It is never easy.

I am so sorry for your loss! I've been thru this 3 times in my life. Each one I loved as a son. It is so hard to lose them. My heart always felt so lonely and empty without them. In time, it gets easier to deal with it, but you will always miss them. I am thankful for the time that I had with them.... each one made be a better man.... you'd like to think that we as the "master" were responsible for teaching our pets...but I swear, they all taught me more about life than I would have ever expected. They gave me so much unconditional love, joy and happiness. Each one taught me how to be a better "parent" for our next fur baby. I'm thankful for all the photos I have of them and for all the wonderful memories. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Was able to get our Christmas tree up and decorated this weekend. Took a quick snapshot of our Golden as he sat in front of the tree.

CritterRacing, so sorry for your loss. I have not experienced the loss of my own pet yet but I once fostered a dog which unfortunatly had cancer which had spread out. She was only with me for one month but we had made connection and it was the most difficult thing I have done to decide to put her to sleep.
It is still difficult for me to talk about her.
I dread when the time comes for my own girl.

It definitely hurts when you lose a furkid.
