I am so sorry Greg. I know this pain and emptiness. I know you loved your boy and he loved you. I miss my little bulldog everyday who passed away at age nine also in 2015. I am grateful for the pictures I took of him although they are difficult to look at at times and am sure you will cherish yours. I am so glad you were with him at the end. He will be in your heart forever and I am very, very sorry for your loss.

John, your words touch my heart today!
Thank you!!!!!!!
Greg
I hesitated to post pictures but I will ask for a one time pass-these were taken today with m4/3. I know everyone who lives life experiences loss. I also know that it is unfair to those around us if we don't at some point put away the emotions and live. I know I will never forget Triumphs and I know he will never be replaced in my heart. I also know this little girl misses him SO much but she deserves to go and live just like we did when Tri was with us!
Today we were back at our stomping grounds. Maybe heavy hearted but living as we should!
Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement.
Sincerely,
Greg
I feel for you Greg. I lost my Gracie after 11 wonderful years. She was a boxer and she died on good friday, 2016. My wife and I are still devastated. I feel for you.
Beautiful dog, Greg. The only consolation I can offer is that most dogs are better than we are at living fully in the moment, so I suspect that they pack a lot of living into their too-short time with us. Still hard when one loses a beloved companion, of course.
Here's a few of Harbour, who we sadly lost prematurely to a tick-borne disease in 2015. Brilliant dog, and an extraordinary companion to both our kids, but he had an incredible relationship with Emma who trained, showed, carted with him. We have had many Newfs, all of whom were special, but Harbour has a special place for all of us.
(yes, the ISO on the winter shot was stupid. It was cold. i was young. I screwed up.)
Lovely pictures of your Newfie and daughter. A Newfie at the dog park used to sit on my foot and look hopeful when she wanted to be petted. One tends to notice 100+ pounds of dog on your instep
