We adopted "Zena" a yellow Lab female at the age of three. We soon found out that she really didn't know how to swim and really didn't care for the water.
So ... True story : Molly, shown here in the picture, made short work of this Molly actually egged her into the water and in the course of one afternoon taught Zena that retrieving and swimming were great fun !
Molly is no longer with us and we still miss her, four years later . She was sooo' smart . My wife used to say that " she knows all of the words"
Zena is still with us at fifteen years and eight months. We know to that she probably still misses "Molly. They were best of buddies.
Rich, Great story and the photo is perfect. You're right, they are not with us long enough. My Rhodesian Ridgeback is getting gray but tons of energy. He's my best buddy. I'll dig and post a photo.
