Our local photography club went to an indoor carousel today. I was thankful it was indoors as it was single digits outside. This was my first time shooting my D700 I just received (purchased on here). I gotta say, I had a really fun time with the camera. It has me looking at a df, I'm just not sure a df is worth 4x the amount I paid for the D700.

Yeah, I saw that one but I think I'd want one in nicer condition if I was to get one and I definitely would go with the silver color. For now, I'm enjoying my D700. I tried out the 24-120mm f4 lens on it yesterday and that lens performs really well. Not sure about the weight, so I may go with the 28-105mm af f3.5-4.5d lens, but we'll see.

I took a wintery hike on Friday with my D700 and 24-120mm f4g lens. I have enjoyed shooting with a DSLR again so much that I ordered a well used D810 from mpb for a good price.

You are doing great work with the D700. The 24-120mm has always intrigued me, it seems to be a good lens. Likewise, the D810 now that they are getting into the 'good price' zone. I love D700 too much, though.
