Just got a D700 today from the B&S here. Since 2008, I had owned four D700 bodies, all purchased new at the time. But, after the D800 came out, I sold all of them. Ten years later, I finally picked up my 5th D700 for no other Nikon bodies (except the D3) can produce better look/color/contrast to my vulgar taste.
The LCD itself is fine, and only its cover had some foggy areas around the edges inside. Though it didn't affect anything when camera was in use, I wanted to get rid of them nonetheless, so I opened its back panel held by only five screw and cleaned the plastic cover from inside. Pretty easy. It took me about 15 minutes to get it done. Now it looks just new.
Here's my first test shot. Don't shoot raw anymore. No more post. Everything is jpeg produced by camera.
Some nice shots here. Long time Canon user and just picked up a D700 as my first Nikon. Ive owned Canon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic, Kodak...never Nikon. Waiting on my lens I got off eBay to show up so I can finally try it out, looking forward to it.
