For those that think the 3 series 12mp sensors are "low resolution". This is a test shot I snapped of my D800 with my D3S and a broken 50 1.4D I was trying to fix.

Harry it warms my heart to hear us guys of a certain age can continue buying gear well past our 70's. Maybe not the trinity,
but a couple of AF-D primes will work.
Took the D700 to the museum today. Have to say I would've preferred the silent electronic shutter from my X-T3... but there was another guy with a D850, so I wasn't the only one with a loud camera
These were all taken with the Samyang 35mm f/1.4 that I recently bought. Amazing value at 275€ new, but manual focus at f/1.4 is hard esp. since the back LCD of the D700 makes it kind of difficult to check whether you have nailed focus or not.
Recently picked up a lightly used D700. I forgot how much i enjoyed those older Nikon cameras. D4s remains my favorite camera of all time.
This one of an American Toad in my backyard with my D700 and Nikon 60mm 2.8G

Thank you Luka! I'm using the old 85mm F1.4D; that huge honking piece of glass is just amazing
Impressive ! 'Legendary' adjective does not come without substance. I was almost convinced at least the second from the last was on 58 1.4G. Now you got me curious.. dangerous route.
Yeah, I am hooked on my kit, I look at my legendary glass that Ive attained and can say I am more than pleased. I think it suits the way I photograph just fine
