Indeed, something about the colours appeals to me too. The newer cameras' colour rendition is great and white balance in artificial light significantly better. And then I shoot with D700 again. Diversity of options is a nice thing to have.

p.56 #5 · D700/D3 still a joy to shoot

I just received my excellent+ D700 in the mail. Call me old school but Ive always wanted a d700 Ive just always loved the photos produced with this camera. I unboxed it from KEH and took a couple quick photos to see the image count since the camera looks like it has never been touch and it has a 426 shutter count. I am beyond stoked to use this camera especially with D lenses.

So far Im loving the D700/58mm combo! This camera has some kinda special sauce...its they way I feel about the Df.

D700 is singing in your hands, anitrone. I especially like the horses shot. The 58's rendering is just superb here.

One from my archives that I had forgotten about. Interestingly, it is one of my favourite shots from my D700.

Barbary Sheep with Horn Ornament.

D700 + 70-200 f2.8G VRII + 1.4x TCII, 1/160s f/4.0 at 210.0mm iso200

This is wide open with the 1.4x TCII !!
