However, I am struggling with "reply" to a B&S FS: listing. Every reply button I could find comes back with "...need 25 posts".
I re-read the rules and it says a a registered (non B&S) member I can only reply but not post. This is exactly what I try to do.
Any help is much appreciated.

Any way that members who don't have the "Upload & Sell" feature enabled can get the watchlist function? Allowing all members to have the watchlist function increases the market for the people who have the Upload & Sell feature and are posting stuff. I don't have much to sell but am always looking for things to buy.
The watchlist option is a perk for paying members. Making the perk available to everyone like you're asking, would be doing a disservice to those who have already paid, and would also encourage others not to pay = less money to keep the site running. While convenient for you, not so much for Fred.
Actually it expands the market for the paying members who are selling things and allows them to sell their stuff quicker and easier which benefits the paying member more than me. When I have had thinks to sell I have paid to have the ability to list. I have paid for whole years of upload when I had one thing to sell because that was the only option way back when I joined this board. Fred has now tailored his pricing structure to accommodate those of us who don't need a whole year to sell 1 item. You still have to pay to upload to buy and sell and the next time I have something to sell I want every member possibly interested in my item to get an alert not just a small sub section.

I don't think so, The watch list might make this a better place to sell and so will attract more sellers. When gear sells here faster than on other sites the sellers will all be here, not there.
I have a question about this. I just added a couple of items to my watch list and have gotten PMS when they appear, but I don't get email notification. I know when I have sent messages before, I get emails that there is a reply. Does this feature not do that? Or if it does, how do I set it up? Thanks for any help.
I paid for a 30 day Upload & Sell a few days ago for the purpose of monitoring for Buy & Sell posts containing "70d" as a search term. I noticed today a post contained the term "70d" in the subject, yet I never received email or SMS notifications as configured in my profile settings. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
