Buy & Sell Watchlist
p.1 #1Buy & Sell Watchlist
I have recently added a new feature to the buy and sell boards that I would like to bring to your attention. It's called the "Watchlist."
Upload & Sell members can now add up to three keywords to their profiles for items they wish to monitor. Once an item with a matching keyword is posted for sale (FS, WTB, or FT), you will receive a private message, making you the first to know about the listing for the item(s) you are interested in.
To manage this feature, go to Edit your profile. The three Watchlist keywords can be added, removed, or edited there: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/edit/me/
Thank you,
Fred

Great idea. This will make it easier when I am looking to buy as opposed to just window shopping.
Thanks for making the best photography site on the net, that much better.

Great feature and have always wanted it, but now we'll see cheeky posts with random tag words in the for sale add to gain post views. For example:
FS: Canon S90 BNIB tag: Leica, noctilux, apo, zeiss, Otus, Nikon, Apple, RRS, f0.95, L, G...

Thanks Fred! I am always impressed with and greatful about the amount of work you put into this site and the attention you give to the wonderful community you have gathered here.
Cheers!

I don't think it will be abused if the keyword is triggered from the thread title as opposed to what is actually posted in the thread.

It will be triggered by the thread title and each item title subject. (removing duplicates)
The profile watchlist should only the shown to the member and not everybody. This will be fixed.
