Hi, the performance drops a lot, but my body at the time was a D7000, perhaps with a D850 or Z9 the tracking can be a little bit better.

Those of you with the VRii.

I just received my used copy. Mint condition but the VR is making a hiss and click.
When I had my copy a few years ago I don't recall this. Maybe it did or maybe I just didn't use VR much on it but I just want to make sure before I contact the seller if it is an issue.

I don't hear a hiss (well, my hearing is pretty bad

) but mine does make some slight click/clunk sometimes when VR is on. I generally turn it off before putting the lens back in a case.

I don't think there's an issue.

I'm handholding 1/60 shots of my kids and they a sharp. VR is working lol.

Yes, it was cropped and reduced to 50% of the orinal size.

For comparison, Here's an 80% reduction of the original uncropped file.

The 300mm 2.8 & 1.7x II are excellent after f/6.3. I try to stay within f/8 to f/10 if possible.
