You guys are killing me (and my wallet)! Serious quality photos here and thanks for sharing the 300mm love. I am hunting for an AF-S Series 2 or Series 1, moving up from my manual focus AFI.
I miss my old 300 f2.8, it was the VR1 version but it was my favorite lens I had at the time. here's some shots with it. some with 1.7x, some bare lens.
