Another round from my chilling shoot while on the ice of Lake Erie. The light brought out the best in this subject and I was lucky to get several different poses from a few Mute Swans amongst the ducks.
Here are a handful of different poses. some working against the odds of balance and some peaceful and afloat and taking an afternoon snooze
Thanks for your visit and your comments are graciously welcomed as are any questions. Call it as you see them
Wonderful set Karl perfectly exposed and with lovely angle and poses and such a direct look too!
Love the look, the curve and the body shape in # 1.
When I got to # 5 and saw the swan on one foot keeping as warm as possible I wondered how you were doing in that regard while you were presumably lying on the ice. I have never seen them snoozing before, thats a first for me
Cheers,
Martin
You're hitting your stride Karl Super set buddy, the whites are marvelous, so many shades, soft (the whites that is) and lovely. I get a nice peaceful feeling from these albeit a bit cold I won't nit but I will ask about the reflection in the last. While I like the brush running out of paint fade effect to it... is it worth all that real estate? I chop it in half and I'm on the fence which I like better.
Such a beautiful set Karl . Tranquil serenity accented with the beautiful soft tones of white and blue.
I really enjoyed them all. If forced to pick, 7 would be my favorite. Love the composition and the crop with the long gradually fading reflection, beautiful.
