Took this osprey few minutes to drag the carp out of the water onto the side bank and another 10 minutes of trying to lift it up...Gave up at the end. Probably the biggest carp I have ever seen an osprey tried to fish out.
dropped the carp on its last attempt...but managed to get a new smaller catch an hour or so later
Awesome I get excited when I see a shot like this Thang, they don't just happen they are made to happen by the photographer and man O man you have nailed this set buddy!

The very same thing struck me, especially in contrast with the naturally impassive expression of the carp, which nonetheless was struggling for its life. Very nice nature drama, captured expertly.

I thought the same from 1 to 2. The first is "dang this is heavy!" and 2 is "I CAN DO this!".
