I like your suggestion. However I'm not a regular contributor, so my endorsement can be ignored.
My preference is to keep things simple and just stay with All things FE mount. I prefer one stop shopping! But I'm easy and what ever the masses prefer will be fine.
Another image from Kiaui. A family and the chicken on their own private beach?
A7II 16-35 FE
Thanks to everyone for such inspirational images. I think they can't get any better and then I look at the new postings and they do. Phillip should get a kick-back for Sony for starting this thread. I'm sure they have sold many of the A7's just due to the images posted here!!!
Done! Now we have a new goal... 2000
Thanks everyone for sharing fantastic images here and, above all, for teach me so many things... I learned so much looking and analyzing your pictures.
Manuel - I agree. It has been a great education studying the photos on this thread.
Here is another new technique to me. This single wireless flash informal portrait was taken with the A7rM and FE 24-240mm using a new Sony HVL F20M flash as a camera mounted trigger on the A7rM. I also did the IR filter modification to the F20M so the flash is IR and invisible and casts no unwanted light on the subject but only functions as a trigger. There is a Gary Friedman article on the web explaining how to make this modification which took ten minutes.
I picked up a couple of old Minolta Program 3600 Flash units on Ebay that work perfectly with the trigger. It is a very nice inexpensive and portable wireless flash setup. For this picture I used a single wireless 3600 unit bounced off the wall.
Wow! Page 1001
But we are behind the Manual Focus Nikon Glass thread by 3891 pages Let's go after them
Wonderful thread that nikon MF with great guys !
Phillip : thought about splitting the thread into an 'manual lenses on FE' and 'AF on FE'
Please don't
I don't like it.. Why = don't know ..just don't like it.. think it's fine as it is

I have thought about splitting the thread into an 'manual lenses on FE' and 'AF on FE', it would slow things down a bit and put the focus more on what this board used to be about. But personally I like to post about 4 images per post which work well together. Since I use manual and AF lenses a split would be annoying to me.
I agree that one thread works the best. For example on Thursday I used 3 lenses on shoot: one Zeiss ZE series lens (=should post ZF/ZE thread), one Leica R lens (=should post Leica R thread) and Loxia (=Sony or Zeiss thread). So from personal point of view very much prefer this thread.
If we look back to history, we used to have ONLY "Alternative Image Thread" (as Fred's forum software wasn't so great back then we had to create new versions as the thread got broken). Then ~2008 we started to create all kind of specific threads, which all had quite low post volumes except ZF/ZE and Leica threads.
For some reason I got curious how 1000 pages happened. After few beers I get stupid ideas. So I downloaded pages 1-999, and put them to database and made quick analysis of top 50 posters, post volumes by year&month, by weekday and by hour of day. As I refuse to use graphical office tools (I'm allergic from extensive use at work ), you can best view results from webpage I created for this: https://vahonen.info/aaa
