I feel, and this is just my opinion, that we should allow either the thread starter, Phillip Reeve, to post the 1st pic of page 1000....or of course, Fred, since none of this would be here if not for him!!

Light house just off the runway in Lihue, Hawaii. Sony A7II and 16-35 FE . Wanted to get stars with the lighthouse but really too cloudy. Caught this plane landing. 15 Sec exposure.

While scouting out a location for sunrise the next morning, the setting sun highlighted a headland where a lone photographer was enjoying the same light as much as I was.

This is another recent image of farmers fields taken the evening of July 16, 2015 along Loch Valley Road, New Tripoli, PA. Image taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 180mm f3.4 ApoTelyt lens and my Sony A7r camera and processed in LR6.
Phillip, what about "Sony Alpha 7 Images Thread"? I like "minimal" definitions and I think Alpha 7 has been a small revolution in the photographic world so I appreciated a lot Sony has decided to not change the name... to Alpha 9 or whatever. My 2 cents...

It works for a while, but most likely in few years we need name it 'Sony FE mount image thread' as Sony will add dozen new models as they usually do... Or split to multiple threads.
Sunsets are quite cliché, but can't help myself when I see combination of lake, forest and cloudy sky (not too cloudy...) in sunset. Series "Zoom into sunset":

I have thought about splitting the thread into an 'manual lenses on FE' and 'AF on FE', it would slow things down a bit and put the focus more on what this board used to be about. But personally I like to post about 4 images per post which work well together. Since I use manual and AF lenses a split would be annoying to me.
I welcome anybody's opinion on the topic.
I have changed the thread name to 'Sony FE Images Thread' if anyone thinks that's a bad idea please tell me.
