From my recent trip taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens, from a high vantage point (used a portable step) of Otter Cove near high tide with roses in the foreground, Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine. Image processed in LR6.
From this weekend with A7 and Rokkor 58mm/1.2. Funny, I certainly didn't buy this lens for landscapes, but after have used 28mm (and 18mm) for almost a year it is a nice change to use a longer focal length.
As I was disappointed to Asahi SMC Pentax-M 1:1.7 50mm in my "normal use" despite having good memories of it from 1990s. So I tried to find if lens would have some other uses. It seems Ronny has stolen all insects and bugs from Nordic countries to southern Sweden I was left with mosquitoes as my only available subject but as compensation, I have lots of them...
A little bit A7r sensor reflection in this one - never imagined it could be used for benefit
OK, this is not macro lens either, not enough magnification. But lens flare rings are rather unique, few more studies of that aspect.
Uuups and I really should pay attention to shutter speed numbers in viewfinder
