I've been playing with my new FE 90mm f2.8 macro lens and am very pleased with it. Be sure to check out the full sized image at my Flickr page too.
Hi Gene, I know you from the POTN forum. I caved in and ordered the 90mm macro last night, should be here tomorrow. I loved my Canon 100mm L macro when I was in the Canon camp, hope the Sony is as good or better than the Canon.

Great entry images Jon! I haven't tried the tough e mount myself but I've heard mixed reviews from what I've read.

Nice images, Jon, particularly the second last. I installed the photodiox tough e-mount after I became concerned at the flex in the original when using a Canon TS-E 24, which is a heavy lens - I found it easy to install and it completely fixed the problem. Perhaps the best justification for it comes from Sony, i.e., they changed to a metal mount in both of the MkII's that they have just produced. John

Lovely set, Jon, and welcome! As you invite c&C, n°2 & n°3 are my faves, more moody, more atmospheric.
Thanks Bob, 40Driggs, John, and Philber for your comments and input (I will do more research on the Photodiox...thank you) and others for the welcome (Gregg, Manuel). There are some prolific and talented members here and I hope I can keep up!

Great shots everyone.

Thanks. This is my first macro lens and I still have a lot to learn about shooting using this technique but I'm very pleased with the details this lens captures. I look forward to reading your thoughts on the Sony 90mm macro lens.
Here are a few more images from my recent trip to Shenandoah National Park (early June to mid June). Both taken with my tripod mounted A7r. First image taken with my Leica M WATE set to 21mm of Big Meadows taken at 8:05 AM on June 9, 2015. Part of the meadow is being bathed in fairly early morning sunlight as the morning mist is clearing and moving through the meadow. The lighting was changing as the mist rolled through.
The second image is of Mountain Laurel (Kalmia Latifolia) flowers and Sassafras (Sassafras albidum) leaves taken with my Minolta CLE MC 40mm f2 M-Rokkor lens.
