Greg, your "last train shot" dropped my jaw. As did your "random shots", Ronny, and your "bothering shots", René. And the "usual suspects", Philip Reeve and Michiel, and Dale, and Joko, and... whew, how many great shots here.
Otus 55 with 12mm tube
Interesting comparison of 50mm lenses. I seldom shoot at 50 though I have several lenses. This is the fastest lens I own, an Asahi Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4. I had it out this afternoon and just happened to be shooting at f/1.4 MFD on A7rM

Thanks Philber! I'm liking your pseudo-macros with the Otus and ext tubes. Pretty incredible, really!!
Dale...that Tak really looks nice. Has a very " I'm right there"...look to it.
Picked up a mini-Otus(FE 55 1.8) for my buddy who is taking my original A7. Took it for a spin yesterday....
Gregg
A7rM and FE 55 1.8....all wide open
Samuli...very nice with the ZE 35 1.4.b incredibly "crisp!"... That lens is a brick, too. It was heavy on my 1D4. I can't imagine how big it is with adapter on the A7

Thanks Gregg. I guess everyone has their own preferences, but I find ZE 1.4/35 the best lens for handhold shooting with mkI models. They (A7 mkI and A7r mkI) are so small that I can't get any grip from the camera, and having big lens makes handhold shooting very enjoyable as left hand supports whole compo. Maybe this is to protect the ultra "flexible" lens mount. FE35 is the worst handhold lens in A7(r) mkI, I just can't get grip from camera or lens. Good that I hate the FE35 rendering style so I don't have to waste time swearing it's ergonomics
