Michiel...thanks for the input on the FD 100/2. I'm interested in one, but I think I'm going to stick with my slower Summarit M 90 for the time being! For the price, it's definitely an option though! Great image with the R 180/3.4, btw
Here Siep (r) and Luka, both blessed with great hair...
Great hair....My youngest, Giovanni, is also blessed with blonde curls. If I wasn't already married, I could be 10 times over, just because of his locks

Hope that you don't mind me poking my nose in, Greg - I rate the FD 100 as one of the best short teles I've ever had and am a real fan of it. Very little color fringing, lovely isolation and in some settings, too sharp for portraits - ask my wife! John

arduluth, beautiful photo!
Lucky you. I got the alert, but since it never gets dark now I missed it...
xbarcelo, very nice set! Hope you enjoyed your visit in Norway and that the weather wasn't too bad. Lots of rain so far this summer (but most of it when we were in Italy).
Thanks, Helena. I did enjoy Norway, but it was a family holiday and I couldn't take as many pictures as I wanted to (I saw most of the landscape through the bloody glass of a bloody bus!!!!!), so I'm definitely coming back in the future. Oh, and about the weather, it was absolutely miserable, but then we're heading for a boiling Summer, so a little rain and cold was actually nice, believe it or not!
Since this is a picture thread, another one from Honningsvåg:
Here's one of my favorite Canon FD 100 F/2 shots for you, Gregg - this is actually a crop to about half frame. It's one of NZ's rarer ducks that is strongly territorial - note the wing spurs. It had dived under the water, so waited when it came up figuring that it would probably do a shake to dry off and voila! John

Haha, yeah, recognizable. Some say that I do look like him... But from whatever angle I look in the mirror, I do not see it. He must have inhereted the beauty of his mother. Meanwhile, I take my safe position behind the camera
