I've got the CV 15 coming in this week. So I was happy to see the gorgeous shot you got here.
The Loxia is also on my list (maybe next month).
How are you liking those primes vs. the 16-35?

Thanks! I generally prefer primes vs zooms as they are better overall performers. Primes like the CV 15 and Loxia are so much smaller than the 16-35 and I'm finding I would rather carry an extra lens or two versus the 16-35 which needs a lot more space in the same bag. On the other hand, the 16-35 is a nice lens producing quality images. It's great for travel. Having both always presents me with a dilemma and I often find myself including a prime or two in my bag when I intend to shoot the zoom.
56mp Sony camera coming... one of the members at GetDPI Sony forum spotted that the resolution of one of the Batis 85 samples allegedly shot with an A7R sported resolution of 8910x6300.
Here's the link to the image. Click the download link to view available resolutions:
Awesome images this page and last.
Bob, welcome back! Always good to see your images!
Very nice Fred! Loved the ones last page, too!
Here are a few more with my A7rM and Summilux M 50 E46...
The last two are a quick comparison between the ZM 50 Sonnar 1.5 and Summilux, both wide open

My new A7 II came in today. I plan on using it primarily as a digital FD body, as I have a lot of nice small FD glass that is quite good, and have an FD 24/2.8 coming tomorrow to fill out the wide end. However, I also rented the FE 28-70 to see if it's worth picking up to have a native all-around lens, primarily for stopped down work.
I can't quite figure out the 28-70 yet. In a lot of cases, it seems to be surprisingly good. At 70mm, I'm getting exceptionally sharp centers and even pretty good borders. The wide end does fine closer up, even approaching excellent. But in some of the further away shots, it can be absolutely dreadful outside the center. In others, it seems to be fine, even very good. Need to do some more testing there, but the wide end further away so far doesn't look too good, even at f/8 or f/11. Not sure what the deal is there.
Anyway, a few samples from puttering around outside for a while.

28-70 is a good lens, but it does tend to misfocus sometimes, not sure why. Good light, static subject, locks on green, all should be good, til I review and end up with a soft shot.
