Haha, I think so too . But it is quite illuminating to see the effect of applying various scripts and what can be achieved in post processing. It also sort of shows how important post processing can be and how it helps to achieve a certain effect. Your script definitely put me on a track and now I have to experiment to find out how the various variables work out for different kind of images. It is definitely nice to have this kind of information shared, so kudos to you. It helps my step-by-step venture into photography. (I could of course follow a photography/PS course, but for the moment I feel more comfortable with my own twisty more intuitive road)
PS. One of the next steps, inspired by Werner and Ronny amongst others: to shoot long exposure shots... and then to extent this by twisting the focus during the shot - re Marek/aCIDfire... So beware... Anyway, lots of inspiration here
