I'd love to know the lens and exposure details for this shot. Most modern cameras aren't great for recording emission nebulas due to the IR filter being too aggressive (kill the prominent H-alpha line), but this shot shows a decent amount of the Orion and Flaming Tree nebulas, despite there being not that many field stars (so I'm guessing not a very long exposure, and no stacking). Like I said, more details (iso/exposure time/lens/processing) would be great!

Out my back door tonight. A quick test, nothing special and I know the color is a little wonky, still trying to adjust it.

Thanks! You are right, it is the "waterfront bldg" or congress center.

Quick grab trying out a new lens. This is a pretty heavy crop. A7r with Leica WATE. I took about ten quick shots with this lens and found that while there was vignetting, I did not see color shifts.

Thanks Ocean,
I didn't have any problems with these lenses using the Rayqual adapter
The 35-70 3.4 is a Zeiss Vario-Sonnar and CY mount
The 28 2.8 is a Zeiss Distagon CY
These older lenses have a much more organic look than the new Sony Zeiss lenses. Though the lens on the RX1 has a lovely feel

Here are two shots taken with the A7r and an old Minolta MD 28mm F/2.8 mounted on an inexpensive T/S adapter.

Terrific, dovey. There is quite a bit of talk among serious Leica users that the a7/r cameras have fabulous colour, these shots look deadset right on to me. Glad you like the CYs, a very film like look. Good to see the sun in the frame did not disturb one shot too.

Here are some images taken this evening with my A7r and my Leica R 28mm f2.8 Elmarit V2 lens. Images taken at the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA and nearby. All images processed in LR5.3.

Cross post from the Leica R Series Lenses thread.

First time ever at an anime convention. These photos might be a bit out of the "norm" from what I've seen in this thread. I had a lot of fun and that's what counts!

One of the first legacy lenses I bought for the original Nex-5, the Kiron 28/2 in OM mount, on A7:

DSC06061-2 by unoh7, on Flickr

DSC06071-2 by unoh7, on Flickr

DSC06092 by unoh7, on Flickr

I think I paid 95usd for the lens in 2010. No close focus adapter needed

DSC06017-2 by unoh7, on Flickr

These A7s have us all shooting our brains out I love it. I also have noted the A7 with a small SLR lens is the same size and weight as an M9 with a nice compact RF lens. So tonight I bought my A7 backup. An M9 with 5300 clicks and a new sensor

That's right uhoh! I'm finding myself shooting with the a7 (and enjoying it more) than my canon gear. Hmmm haha

Here's a little bit of history from a time when life seemed a bit simpler (and gasoline was cheaper!):
