More and more beautiful shots on this thread. It is hard to keep up with all the great work. Mike and Ronny I especially like the spring flowers, and I am jealous we still have none here. Spring is starting to turn, however. These are all with my new Zeiss C/Y 50 f/1.4 and my A7II.
Is that your new boat Michiel. Looks like it needs a bit of work, probably about the same vintage as the Triumph Spitfire Gregg so beautifully photographed a few pages back.
Bob, I really like the results you can achieve with that 15mm Heliar which is a problem for me given that I am banned from any further lens purchases!
Here are a few daffodils to compliment Mikes fabulous tulip shots. They grow wild on the edges and corner of fields here and in some of the small woods
Another great page.
Welcome Kevin - Love that Minolta 35-70
Steve - looks like Spring is hard coming
Bob - You make me wish I had some tall buildings out here on the AZ desert
In Arizona the desert is blooming. Here are two shots of Prickly Pear Cactus blossoms taken with two very different lenses on an A7rM.
This was taken with a Sony 24-240mm FE set at 240mm
This shot taken with Leica 90mm Elmarit
One final shot taken with the Sony 24-240mm FE set at 240mm
More shots with the Loxia 50/2 The more I use this lens, the more I enjoy it. In essence it is a great lens, and with the release of the A7rII this will make for an excellent combo together with the FE 55. Of course there many other 50mm MF lenses, but for ease of use this is a great choice for now!
I feel it is on par with the FE 55, but has the gentler rendering wide open. In fact the lens is very sharp when stopped down to f/5.6 to 8, and could be sharper than the FE 55.

Charles...you make that Loxia 50 look really, really good. I love that second shot!
Thanks Gregg This is seriously a great lens. Accepting the fact it is a Zeiss Planar and you gel with its style of rendering. I still love the 50 Nocti f/1.0, 50 Cron DR and 50 Lux for each of their unique rendering style. The Loxia 50 is very quick to focus accurately.
Mike: Nice tulip field shot.
Greg: Mesmerizing first shot in that ZM 25 series. A wall hanger for me right there .
Bob: Instantly recognize your CV 15 III shot. I should get around to use my ZM 15, but too many lenses to try out with the modded A7s.
Charles: You make this lens sing. And I too think that the FE 55 strength is only at WO (one heck of a lens WO though), stopping down to f/5.6 or f/8, the G45 would surpass it. The Loxia 50/ZM 50 should be along the line as well. In your 50 collection, which lens would have the most pleasant (soft, smooth) bokeh? The lux?
The most pleasant smooth bokeh IMO are with the Mandler designed lenses. The trade off normally is the biting sharpness you get with the later more corrected versions. So my favourite is the 50 Nocti f/1.0 and the 50 Cron DR (non Mandler, but very old) is incredibly smooth too. This relates wonderfully for B&W conversion as allows for great tonality depth. The 50 Lux Asph is very nice, but I would not say smooth.
Charles, great to see you're enjoying Loxia 50. It would be fantastic if you could shoot it once day side by side with Sony 55/1.8 and Lux 50 - all at f/2
hiepphotog; how do you find Elmar 24 on modded A7?
It stopped raining in Vancouver so in the next few days I will try to shoot with SEM 21.
One from this afternoon; PP with VSCO/Kodak Gold 200
Jack...Very nice! Great comp...
Pinhole...Love the 2nd shot and the portrait too.
Went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for annual "Spring Break"...ride fest. My 7 yr old is finally tall enough to go on the Giant Dipper!!
ZM 50/2 on A7rM
Gregg
Helios 40-2 just arrived from Russia .. took few test shots with my niece. Beast of lens, not a travel lens that's for sure but would be fun to use for portraits

Joshua outstanding shots..hats off to you
Ronny, thank you!
Here are 3 images from Gošafoss, waterfall of the gods in the northern part of Iceland.
The two kayakers in the second and last image were shooting a commercial when I was there and not just some kind of dare devil. The shooting crew was on the ledge beneath my location and closer to the action and they used a drone, as well. I anticipated that the second kayaker in green would do exactly that when I saw him up there on the second image. And I didn't want to miss the action while climbing down to the lower part. So, I just stayed put and my hunch was right...
