SONY FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 on A7s The last shot was 6.3 wide open. The lens, appears to me, to be surprisingly sharp for a super zoom. I think I am going to stop reading graphs and charts.

Thanks for the comments! The FE 24-240mm could actually be a candidate for a single lens solution. It requires a bit more PP right now because of vignetting at 24mm and the general need for adjustments at each focal length. I don't think I could make a universal preset for this lens. I am looking forward to Adobe lens profiles in the future. In a dusty environment like Arizona it is a relief to change lenses less frequently.

This thread is very pleasant to read. So many lenses and talents.
I've just aquired A7II, and I'm using it with my Canon-compatible lenses. Very pleased with the results. Comparatively with EOS500D/T1i, well it's at least twice better with same lenses. And the focus peaking is very useful too
Tamron 28-70 F/2.8 - 1/125sec F/9.0 @53mm iso400
Tamron 70-300VC - 1/200sec F/5.6 @300mm
Tamron 28-70 F/2.8 - 1/320sec F/4.0 @64mm
Canon 50mm F/1.8 - 1/160sec F/6.3 iso125 (straight out of camera)

Ronny...stellar images of Nitro(as always!)....and your getting the hang of the new lenses!
Dale...very nice image with the 24-240. How's the field curvature @24mm? And it looks pretty damn sharp for a super-zoom!
Jack...very nice BW. I'm liking the ZM 35 Dist very much. Unfortunately, I'll be in the sidelines drooling over yours and eventually whoever else gets it!! But it's all good
Looking forward to getting my A7rM back from KolariVision in a week or so. Then I can play with my new ZM 25!! And can't wait to use my ZM 35/2 too!

Here are examples of uncorrected and corrected 24mm images. Yes there is severe curvature.

Here's two from a trip I did today to a research project on NZ rainforest trees, where they were using a small drone to take photos in the canopy. Both taken with higher ISO than I've previously used, but with noise reduction in LR seems fine - first with TS-E 24 and second with 180 Apo Lanthar.
