Derek, you really make me miss that g28. I really hope that the replacement filter will prove to bring the a7's corner sharpness to Leica M9 levels without causing too many new issues.
I have lost all my hopes for vastly improved performance of wa Zeiss G lenses on the A7 and it's successors,selling both of my 28 G Biogons and the 35/2 G Planar.

While in town I managed to handle the A7II, wow feels like a very well rounded camera. Especially the bigger grip, different shutter position, more custom buttons, faster AF etc. Very interesting times in Sony land, may very well part company with my Fuji gear if sony ups their lens line.
